Spring is finally here in North Dakota!

We are grateful for the warm temperatures. But, this year is proving to have many challenges.

Fall: Extremely wet conditions brought a long grass season but impossible for many farmers to harvest crops

Winter: Unusual amounts of snow had us raising the height of the fences. Record breaking cold temperatures for many weeks made for extra thick hair growth and we burned a lot of fuel.

Spring: March brought four snowstorms, with the last one dumping more than 20 inches of wet snow. First time ever the entire state experienced flooding. Water has completely surrounded our ranch. Pasture, alfalfa, driveway are still under water for the 2nd time. But we are anxiously awaiting the birth of 8 foals out of Pepsi and Skipper.
